Microchipping

vet east bentleigh

East Bentleigh Animal Care Vet supports the new laws that now require that all cats and dogs must be microchipped before being registered with a council for the first time.

This means that all puppies and kittens, or older cats and dogs moving municipality, must be microchipped.

Microchipping can be performed at the clinic by making an appointment. The procedure involves implanting a small chip (slightly larger in size than a single grain of rice) underneath the skin between the shoulder blades.

Microchipping only causes minor discomfort, is a very quick procedure, and does not require an anaesthetic.  East Bentleigh Animal Care Vet team members are registered authorised microchip implanters.
